Car shipping to and from Dallas–Fort Worth

We arrange pickups and deliveries across the metroplex, from Dallas, Plano, Frisco, McKinney, and Richardson to Irving, Arlington, Grand Prairie, and Fort Worth. DFW sits where several interstates meet, so long-distance carriers come through the area regularly.

Moving out of Dallas? Long trips to the West Coast, Florida, Arizona, or the Northeast are where shipping tends to beat driving. Moving to Dallas or buying a car from another state? We arrange the inbound trip the same way.

What a Dallas pickup looks like

A full car carrier is long and heavy. Many apartment complexes, gated communities, and HOA neighborhoods in the area do not allow it inside, and some streets are too narrow or tree-lined for it to turn around. In those cases, the driver will ask to meet at a nearby large parking lot, such as a shopping center, where loading is safe.

Your agent confirms the pickup window with you, and the driver usually calls ahead on the day. Have the car accessible, the keys ready, and a few minutes for the joint inspection.

Before the carrier arrives

  • Keep the fuel tank around a quarter full.
  • Remove valuables, toll tags, and garage remotes. Ask before leaving any personal items in the car.
  • Disable alarms and tell us about leaks or mechanical issues.
  • Wash the car and take dated photos of every side.

Texas sun and hail are hard on paint. If your car is a classic or has a show finish, consider enclosed transport. Compare open and enclosed car shipping.

How to choose an auto transport company in Dallas

Whoever you hire, check these before you book:

  • Look up the company's MC or USDOT number on the FMCSA website and confirm its authority is active.
  • Ask whether it is a broker or a carrier.
  • Get the total price and the carrier details in writing before you pay.
  • Find out exactly when you pay, how much, and to whom.
  • Get the cancellation terms in writing.

What it costs and when you pay

Free quote. Your price is an estimate until a carrier accepts your order, and it never goes up without your OK. How pricing works

No payment is collected until the carrier or driver confirms in writing. The agreed spot reservation amount is due to BladeHaul after that confirmation, before pickup. The remaining carrier balance is paid directly to the carrier. Together, these make up your total price, and your written transport agreement sets out the amounts and terms. Common questions

How much does it cost to ship a car to or from Dallas?

It depends on the other end of the trip, your vehicle, open or enclosed transport, and the season. Our car shipping cost guide explains each factor and what industry surveys report. Your quote is an estimate based on current market prices for similar shipments on your route. It can change until a carrier accepts your order, but never without your OK, and you can cancel at no charge if you don't agree. Once a carrier is confirmed, your price is locked in with that carrier. If that carrier cancels, any new price needs your OK too. No hidden fees.

What is the cheapest way to ship a car?

Choose open transport, keep your pickup window flexible, request your quote early, and meet the driver somewhere a large truck can reach easily.

Is it cheaper to drive or ship your car?

Within the metroplex or to nearby cities, driving is usually cheaper. For a long interstate move, compare a quote with fuel, hotels, meals, time off, and the miles added to your car.
